Defender of the Spirit animals

Here is the drawing of a new painting I’m working on. I’m almost done with the painting, but I won’t post it until I finish. I don’t have a title yet. But I know shes trying to tell me something, I just can’t figure her out yet! I’m going off to New York for Thanksgiving week, so she’ll have to sit tight until I get back. Happy thanks-taking day!

Shalom & Salutations

Hello to those that like to check on me from time to time. I know it’s been a while since my last post. Apologies. I took a little to break to spend some lost time on myself and my loved ones for a bit. I relocated, got engaged, discovered Lincoln Fabrics in Venice Beach and got addicted to fabric, made some pillows, and spent some time with my wonderful late grandma Eloise, who I took care of for the last 3 months of her life. In such a short amount of time lots have happened, and it all preciously brought me back to the excitement of creating again! Now I have the obsessive itch to paint, and that’s all I wanna do lately. But it was nice to venture outside of painting for a while. And along the way I learned new things about myself. Like how I never knew I would become a cat person! We have inherited an alley cat we call, “Diabla” and she keeps us great company and loves us unconditionally. Today she was licking my face and her tongue felt like sandpaper. Life has never been better. Heres a few snippets of my current universe. :)

Enchanted Shaman

Here is a new drawing I’m working on. I’m gonna throw up my progress every couple of days to pressure myself to finish her by a certain deadline. She is 20 x 29 in. on watercolor paper. A gentle woman at heart, cross her and feel the wrath of her mace!
